DES Student Council President shares our "Thanks and Appreciation" to our School Board Members during their January Meeting. We presented the members with star cookies that said "You help DES Kids Shine!" We also presented home made calendars. These calendars made by our students included pictures of school board approved programs. Our school truly benefits from Orchestra, Art, Music, PE, and Challenge Lab! We also have a Latino Literacy program that helps the moms of our bilingual students. In addition to the pictures, we included research about stars and connected it to our School Board Members who are our Guiding Stars! Our Student Council officers attended the December school board meeting to learn about some of the responsibilities of our school board members. They are volunteers and spend a huge amount of time dedicated to making decisions that positively effect our schools! A Big Thanks goes to all our School Board Members!
