Second Grade Study Group Learns about Coral!

Students have been studying about the life cycle of coral and the different types of coral-such as staghorn (which looks like antlers) Plate coral, fan coral and brain coral. We learned how coral polyps can get their food in two ways, either trapping tiny underwater plants and animals with their tentacles or by the little green plants that live inside the coral.
