Daniels Student Council Volunteers Turn out in Full Force for Habitat for Humanity Work Morning!

It was Saturday, April 21, 2012. The sun was beginning to shine. The temperature read 48 degrees, and the clock showed 7:59 a.m.  Daniels Student Council members and their parents began showing up at the Kerr County Habitat for Humanity work site ready to work!  Our mission:  to  pull up our sleeves, rake up all the rocks into piles to get the yard ready to bring in the top soil.  Students pulled weeds and picked up trash.  Students were scheduled to come in three shifts.

This was the Best turn out!  I was so excited to see both moms, dads, brothers, and grandpas working with the kids.  The Daniels families showed great work ethic and were not afraid to get dirty!

The student council members that worked ranged from second grade to fifth grade!

I have great hope for the future after seeing the kind of character and effort these students possess.  I am certain that they will  continue to serve the community in some shape or form based on the leadership, and giving hearts!  A genuine thank you goes out to all of the families that gave of their time and energy!
